“Where there are stories about human beings, there are stories about health—it’s such a big subject in entertainment,” Buffington is quoted as saying in the interview.

The report goes on to note that HH&S has consulted on more than 380 storylines on a wide range of TV shows—from medical series like ABC’s Private Practice to the hit AMC show Mad Men (whose creative staff needed to know what a 1960s medicine cabinet might contain).

Buffington calls TV and film writers "master storytellers" who draw inspiration from the real-world case studies often presented to them by HH&S.

Monocle, headquartered in London, describes itself as a global briefing on international affairs, business and culture.
