Impact of Health Storylines
We partner with colleagues to evaluate the impact of health storylines on viewers. We do this through national mail surveys, online viewer surveys and chat rooms.
When health storylines air, we also partner with the shows and networks to provide resources for viewers to access more detailed information about the health topic. These resources include weblinks and telephone hotlines that are posted on the shows' homepages, public service announcements with the show talent, or network-branded print materials that are disseminated by health agencies and local community organizations. We also encourage partners to conduct media outreach and offer local health experts and real people for timely news stories.
