HH&S Director Kate Folb Interviewed on NPR

HH&S Director Kate Folb was interviewed on NPR’s Weekend Edition with Scott Simon on Aug. 16, discussing our work with the entertainment industry.

Folb told Simon that HH&S was “a one-stop shop for public health, medical and climate change” information for TV writers.

After Simon pointed out that doctors must grow frustrated over the hospital “hijinks” depicted on some medical shows—how do they even have time for the patients, he pointed out—Folb discussed how TV writers must balance the need for solid dramatic entertainment with the need to be as accurate as possible.
